Northern Ireland’s Independent Autism Reviewer, Ema Cubitt, has published her first Annual Report.
This first reporting period marks the establishment of a new statutory office and the commencement of independent scrutiny within the legislative framework established by the Northern Ireland Assembly (“the Assembly”).
The report sets out the principal scrutiny, monitoring, and advisory activity undertaken during the reporting period, together with the key themes and insights arising from this work, what this reveals about the operation of systems across government, and how this informs accountability to the Assembly.
