The Department of Health (through their Strategic Planning and Performance Group) are currently undertaking work to review and update the regional Adult Autism Care Pathway to ensure it remains relevant, evidence-informed, and responsive to the needs of autistic adults and their families.

To support this work, the Department is seeking to engage a cross section of autistic adults across Northern Ireland with lived experience of receiving a diagnosis in adulthood and/or navigating services before and after diagnosis alongside family members and wider support networks.

Their proposed approach is to hold three focused online engagement sessions between September and November 2026. In addition, a short survey will be made available to enable contributions from people who are unable to attend the live sessions but would still like to share their views and experiences.

The poster on this page contains further information about this involvement opportunity, including a QR link to a short Microsoft Forms questionnaire for individuals who wish to register their interest.

Please note, this is not work being undertaken by the Reviewer or the Reviewer's Office. Any queries in relation to this work should be directed to Ed.Austin@hscni.net
